POMA Pinnacle Awards Presented by Mossy Oak

Columbia, South Carolina – March 8, 2013 – R.G. Bernier of Standish, Maine was presented with this year’s Outstanding Achievement Award in the Photography Category for his image, “Leaping Fawn.” This photograph appeared as the cover on the spring 2012 issue of Whitetail News, a quarterly publication of the Whitetail Institute of North America located in Pintlala, Alabama. http://www.whitetailinstitute.com. This is Bernier’s third Award, and the second within the Photography Category winning his first back in 2009 in the Magazine Category. The awards were presented during the Annual Business Conference on Friday night, March, 8th during the NRA dinner/banquet in Columbia, South   Carolina.

POMA’s Pinnacle Awards are the highest honor the organziation can bestow upon its media members for their creative works. The Pinnacle Awards are presented by presenting partner Mossy Oak during POMA’s Annual Business Conference.

In 2006, Mossy Oak joined forces with the Professional Outdoor Media Association (POMA) as the title partner of the organization’s prestigious Pinnacle Awards, which honor journalistic excellence among POMA members. Mossy Oak has been the presenting partner of the Pinnacle Awards since their inception.

The Pinnacle Awards honor journalists annually for exceptional journalistic achievement in traditional outdoor sports-focused magazine writing, newspaper/Web writing, photography/illustration, broadcasting and conservation journalism.
